The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regards to the substantial quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service stage developed for intervention experiences a significant inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it hard with website the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and maximize entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
